Dr Khai Yang Ooi is a young nephrologist who has experience in general, dialysis and transplant nephrology. He completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2005 and undertook his physician’s and nephrology training at Alfred Health and Western Health in Melbourne, attaining his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in 2015.
Khai is a resident of the western suburbs and has made a firm commitment to providing long term, holistic renal care to the residents of the area. Khai has private consulting rooms both in Altona, Moonee Ponds and Warragul and he is currently a staff specialist at Western Health, where his role includes stewardship of a satellite dialysis unit and consultations in chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, dialysis and transplant focused clinics. Khai has a strong interest in junior medical staff mentorship and education and has had teaching roles both at Western Health and with the RACP. He is still furthering his own skills by undertaking a Masters of Medicine with Monash University currently.
