Dr Janice Coleman

MBBS, FRACGP

Janice, who was born and bred in the west, is passionate about providing quality medical care to people in the western suburbs. After graduating from Monash University she completed her internship in Melbourne hospitals, including Western Hospital Footscray. Her drive is to provide a quality workplace that will attract and retain high calibre doctors to work in the west to get the best health care for the people in our suburbs. She was on the board of the Westgate Division of General Practice and is now concentrating her efforts on teaching and mentoring young doctors and creating and developing this new centre of health.

She sees one of her roles as a GP is to help people access and negotiate the health system maze. She feels privileged to provide whole of life care for people from ‘positive pregnancy test’ through to End of life care, and all the health concerns in between!

She has an interest in hockey and in supporting local sporting clubs with their health requirements, and has been known to sew up injuries in the change rooms! Janice currently works Monday-Thursday.
