A/Prof. Craig Nelson ( MBBS FRACP PhD)

Craig is the clinical Services Director for the Division of Chronic and Complex Care and the Director of Nephrology.
Associate Professor with the North West Academic Centre of the University of Melbourne.
He received First Class Honours at Sydney University for his undergraduate medical degree and
completed his PhD through the University of Melbourne. He has over 20 years of experience in Nephrology and General Medicine at Royal Melbourne, Northern Health and Western Health. His PhD was completed on novel markers of Cardiovascular Risk in early CKD. His present research interests are in utlising e-Health to improve the detecion and management of early CKD and other chronic diseases including Diabetes, Ischaemic Heart Disease, Heart Failure and Stroke.
